PRP with Microneedling

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy uses powerful growth factors hidden within your own blood platelets to stimulate elastin and collagen. The PRP is then combined with microneedling to create millions of fine channels in the skin. These channels can effectively carry PRP into the skin to treat the appearance of aged, sun- damaged skin, fine lines and wrinkles, vertical lip lines, enlarged pores, stretch marks, scars, and much more. The effects are long-lasting and rejuvenating, giving your skin a natural, youthful glow.

“I love microneedling and I do it several times a year to help my skin with collagen production. Last week I added PRP to my microneedling session and the results are dramatic! After a couple days of healing I noticed a glow to my skin. My skin feels softer and I can already tell a visible difference in my areas of concern. I will continue to add PRP to my microneedling treatments going forward!” C.A.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect during treatment?”

First, your blood will be drawn by a nurse practitioner or RN and the platelets  (PRP) will be removed.  Topical numbing cream will be applied before starting the session making the microneedling session essentially pain-free.  The PRP will be applied to your skin both during and after your microneedling session.

What can I expect afterwards?

In the immediate hours after your PRP session, your skin will feel tight and dry.  Your skin may also be red, resembling a mild sunburn for a day or so.  Soon after the healing is complete, you will notice a beautiful glow to your skin.  Over time, fine lines and wrinkles will improve as collagen and elastin are restored.

How many treatments are needed?

For best results, three microneedling/PRP sessions are recommended, however your skin will be noticeably healthier with one session.
